Add a Watermark to an Image

Stamp text such as "COPY – for visa application only" across a photo or document scan, so a copy cannot easily be reused. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use

1. Choose the image or scan.
2. Type the wording. Include the purpose and, if you like, the date, for example "Copy for rental application, 24 Oct 2026".
3. Adjust size, opacity and angle until the document is still readable and the mark is clearly visible.
4. Download. The original file is not changed.

Limits

A watermark makes casual reuse harder but does not stop a determined person, and it cannot be undone from the saved copy, so keep your original. Some official uploads reject marked documents; check the requirements first. Output is JPG at high quality, or PNG if the source is PNG.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded? No. The mark is drawn in your browser.

Will the watermark hide my text? Use a lower opacity or fewer repeats; the tiled layout is designed to keep the document legible.

Does it work on PDFs? Not directly. Convert pages with PDF to JPG, mark them, then join them with Images to PDF.
